Overview of Rental Neurofeedback Systems

We are excited that we now have the capability to offer patients the opportunity to do neurofeedback in the comfort and convenience of your home or office!  This option is perfect for people that live too far away or who's schedule is not conducive to training regularly in our office.

The at-home unit is not for everyone, but was intentionally created for:

• Patients living outside our geographic area;

• Patients who work during the times that we normally see patients;

• Families with more than one person that would benefit from neurofeedback (a major part of the cost is the rental unit - see below);

• Kids with full schedules;

• Corporate executives looking to increase peak performance. (see below)

• People stuck in their homes during stay-at-home orders (our systems are disinfected prior to being shipped out or delivered).  

 

Our rental neurofeedback systems are identical to the systems that we use in our office. These are dramatically different from many of the rental systems that have flooded the market in recent years.  While this requires a little more work to set up, there is a steep learning curve and tremendous technical support to get you up to speed on using the system.  But the difference in outcomes can be dramatic, and that is our primary goal and concern.  Our systems provide dual site, eyes open training while you watch your favorite show on Netflix, Hulu, or any other media source.  You would receive a laptop that connects to an existing television in your house (or we ship you one).  But understand, while you are training at home, you will be closely monitored with video chat, Facetime, phones calls, emails, and text.  We are here to help you get the most out of this experience.

The cost of the at-home system is structured as follows:

​

• Consult

  • In Office - $195 (This can be done in person (when conditions allow), through video conferencing, or over the phone.)

  • Remote - $195 per hour.  (Remote consults can take longer depending on the different questionnaires that are sometimes used.  The hourly rate is applied when consults are considerably longer in duration).

• In-Office qEEG Evaluation - $425.  This includes qEEG, Report of Findings and Recommendations for care.

  • If you are a considerable distance, we discuss alternatives to this​​

• Machine rental - $3200 for 4 weeks - this includes the system and the case management for one person **

• Case management fee for additional family members - $300 per week per person

** Under most circumstances, the home unit starts out with a four week rental period.

Perfect For Families

​

For families that have multiple people interested in doing neurofeedback, the at-home rental is the most cost-effective option we offer.  A family of 3 renting a system would incur $5,600 in charges.  Assuming that these 3 people trained for 25 sessions each, the cost of those services in our office would be $11,250 (we charge $150 per session for in-office training sessions.

Peak Performance for Corporate Executives 

​

Over the last few years, there has been an enormous increase in various types of "Bio-hacking", or using technology to enhance some form of body physiology or function.  Without question, neurofeedback falls into this category.  A limiting factor for many executives is simply time - either there is no time to fit 10 or 20 sessions at an outside office, or there is no provider that can see them at either 5:30 am or 8:00 pm.

From a peak performance perspective, there are a few major themes that appeal to the corporate executive:

• Increasing productivity, efficiency and organization.

• Improving sleep quality and reduce the negative effects of stress.

• Improving control over emotional reactions and responses. 

• Improve anxiety in social situations.
